Exam 1 Statistics

Thu 15Jul2010 2:39PM

The average on exam 1 was ~66% with a standard deviation of 17%.  I have been told that these results are typical of PHYS 221 exams so the test scores will not be curved.

HW 8 Hints Wed 07Jul2010 12:08PM Because a few problems in HW 8 are from Chapter 23 (not covered in the exam), I've provided hints for those problems at: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~szkane/PHYS221/ On some computers the link may not work when you type it. If the link doesn't work, "copy and paste" it into your browser. Send me an email if that doesn't work (szkane@purdue.edu).
Lecture 10 Notes Tue 06Jul2010 6:12PM I'm having problems uploading the pdf for Lecture 10 so until this gets fixed I've uploaded it onto a purdue website I have. Look under PHYS 221 lecture material: http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~szkane/ On some computers the link may not work when you type it. If the link doesn't work, "copy and paste" it into your browser. Send me an email if that doesn't work (szkane@purdue.edu).
