Lecture quizzes
Thu 03Sep2020 12:18AMBecause of the unique time we are in, it is unfair to those students who may miss in-person classes from time to time, to only count clicker responses for the lecture quizzes. So I will adopt the following: I will give full credit (2 points each lecture) for the clicker responses no matter whether you answered them correctly or not. For those who cannot come to the lecture or for some reason you do not see your clicker score in CHIP by 5 PM of the day of the lecture, I will allow time for you to read the lecture and send me email with your answers to the quizzes before 8 AM on the day of the next lecture. The quizzes start with the word "Quiz" on the slides. The lecture slides can be accessed, as usual, by going to the course home page -> Lectures.
Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.
Lecture recording
Thu 03Sep2020 12:17AM
The lectures are recorded (except the first two). The recordings are available on mediaspace. To access the recorded lectures, go to the course homepage -> Course-info -> Schedule. Clicking on the Lecture # in the schedule table will take you to the recording. (Note, due to the extremely high demand during this unique time, there’s a significant latent time before the lecture recording becomes available online. If you get “Media is being processed” on your screen, that means it’s not ready yet. Right now, the recordings for lecture 3, 4 are available. Please email me if you cannot access them.)
Clicker question scores in CHIP
Mon 31Aug2020 11:31AMThe lecture 4 quiz scores have been posted under your CHIP account. (We didn't have lecture quizzes for the first three lectures.) The maximum possible score for each lecture is 2 (not 3 as shown): 1 point for attendance, and 1 point for answering one correct question. For some lectures, I will have only one clicker question and that would be the 1 point; for the other lectures, I will have multiple quizzes (like today), you will get the full 1 point as long as you answer one of the quizzes correctly.
If you do not see your score in CHIP and you came to the lecture today and answered questions, then it means you haven't registered your clicker in CHIP yet. Please do so at your earliest convenience. Meanwhile please let me know your clicker ID so I can enter your score into CHIP manually.
Friday 5/28 lecture is online
Wed 26Aug2020 10:43PMThis Friday's lecture will be online, synchronous at 8:30AM.
