Physics sophomore stars in Civic Theater of Greater Lafayette production

2009-05-13

Matthew Turczi, a physics sophomore, is currently starring in a lead role in the Civic Theater of Greater Lafayette production of "Private Lives" by Noel Coward. The play concerns the interactions between two honeymoon couples where one partner in each couple were previously married. Matthew gives an outstanding performance as one of the husbands.

Excerpt from the Lafayette Journal & Courier

The sparks that pass between Lisa Stanforth's Amanda and Alan Hertz's Elyot are exceptional. They spit fire, generate several kilowatts between them while Kristen Lesmark as Sybil and Matthew Turczi's portrayal of the jealous Victor provide a tubful of laughs.

Matthew made the ultimate sacrifice of having his signature long hair cut to a sophisticated shortness for the production.
