Demos: 1S-35 Chaotic Double Pendulum

The Chaotic Double Pendulum is a single pendulum attached to a second pendulum. The attached pendula are restricted to one plane of motion. Chaotic motion is a state of apparent disorder and irregularity where small variations in starting conditions produce widely different results. The long term behavior of chaotic systems cannot be predicted. To experience chaos theory, repeatedly spin the Double Pendulum so that the initial conditions are the same as much as possible. The results of each trial will be decidedly different.
