Demos: 1D-01 Projectile Launcher

The Projectile Launcher has the capabilities of launching projectiles at a range of up to 8 meters and at any angle. There are 3 different range settings, the projectiles are 25 mm plastic spheres. A photogate can be attached to determine the launch velocity of the sphere. Two possible ideas for demonstration are: 1) Vary launch angles and with a catch pan, you can show that complementary launch angles will propel the projectile the same range. 2) Align the launcher parallel to the floor and set up hoops as targets. The hoops are placed at equally spaced distances and raised to different heights. This will show that projectiles move with a constant horizontal velocity but thy have an accelerated vertical motion.
