David Brown

• 1992 Ph.D., Physics, Purdue University

Dr. Brown is the Dean of Ogden College of Science and Engineering. At the time of the award, he was a professor and chairman of the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Louisville.  He earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics from Eastern Michigan University in 1987 and completed Ph.D. at Purdue University in 1992 under the direction of Prof. Ed Shibata. He joined the University of Louisville in 1996 following positions at the University of Pittsburgh and Boston College.
