New hardware installed in the CMS Tier-2 center at Purdue

On December 12, 2006, 153TB disks are added to the CMS Tier-2 center at Purdue, 105TB are resilient dCache storage and 48TB are RAIDs. With previous installed 28TB of non-resilient dCache storages, the total storages in the CMS Tier-2 center at Purdue reach 184TB. At the same time 70 dual core and dual CPU Sun X2200 Opteron nodes and 2 dual core and dual CPU Sun X4500 are bought and will be in production on January 1, 2007. These new Sun nodes have total 1.23 TFlops. They will join 50 3.0 GHz ia32 Xeon Hamlet nodes and 64 3.2 GHz EM64T Xeon Lear nodes to serve CMS physical scientists and software developers to a new level.
