Scanning probe microscopes (SPMs) are the window
into the nanometer length scale. These instruments are in widespread
use throughout the entire world and have formed the platform
to launch hundreds of successful explorations into the nanoworld.
Our lab is actively pursuing next generation scanning probe
techniques that will provide an even more detailed understanding
of the fundamental properties of nanoscale matter.
