An Old Final Posted as Practice

Tue 14Dec2010 12:51AM

Note:

1) The review questions discussed in the lab session last week are selected from these old exam problems.

2) Answers Keys are also posted under Exams folder.

3) The practice questions are meant as examples and not meant to cover all the grounds and the practice exam may have a different scope/emphasis with the actual exam. Do not assume a concept would not be in the final just because it was not reviewed in the review session (practice exam problems) and vice versa. You should still review all the content covered in this course, with particular emphasis on the highlights listed at the end of each chapter.

Exam 2 Answer Keys

Mon 13Dec2010 6:35PM

Several of you asked about the answer keys for Exam 2.

They are available under CHIP -- click on "Link for the Exams" then "Exam 2", then you can retrieve the answer keys by attempting to answer each question.

Note: the question involving the alpha particle and proton (problem 1 on the CHIP version of exam 2) has a mistake thus every answer was counted as correct for that problem.

Clarification on Clicker Points

Fri 10Dec2010 3:18PM

First 4 lectures have no points (practice);

Not all subsequent lectures have actual points ---- only those where we actually gave clicker questions (see posted lecture notes) would have points. For example,Lec 22 and Lec 27 have no clicker questions, thus no points.
