QMD members attend Acacemic Research Initiative (ARI) review meeting in Washington DC

Gabriel, Isaac and Yong together with our collaborators Mike Foxe and Igor Jovanonic attended the ARI review meeting organized by NSF and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington DC from Apr 06-09.  The meeting highlighted all NSF/DHS funded projects on radiation detection and nuclear security.    Yong gave a talk on our GUARD (Graphene-based ultrasenstive advanced radiation detectors) program. Isaac, Gabe and Mike each gave a poster presentation.    We also established contacts with a number of companies through the meeting.
