Exposure Assessment

It is important to be able to assess the occurrence of an overexposure to a hazardous material.

1.  One of the primary indicators is the development of signs and symptoms of overexposure.   This would include such things as:
  headache
  nausea
  burns
  blisters
  cough
2.  Another good indicator is odor.
3.  You may suspect that exposure limits have been exceeded from observations of the process.
If you suspect that overexposure is routinely occurring, you may ask REM to monitor your work area for the suspected chemical
4.  Measurements from monitoring equipment.
