Hi! This is my web page about web pages. In it I will be explaining the uses of web pages. That includes things like displaying information, school projects, selling things, and just having fun. There are also many other things you can do with web pages, but this page will only tell about those four. I'll start with selling things.

SELLING THINGS OFF THE NET

Most companies have web pages. A lot of the time they also make it possible to buy their product off the net. If you are trying to sell things off the net, you will want to start with a list of your merchandise so the people know what their choices are. Then you will need an order form. Below is a sample order form for a pretend company. One thing that was not included in that order form that should have been was a button that sent the information to the person who runs the page. It basically turns the page into E-mail form and sends it to your e-mail program.

INFORMATIONAL PAGES

A lot of people put web pages on the internet that give information. The kinds of information can vary a lot. You might see pages on anything from reptiles to physics. There are also lots of reasons that people put up informational web pages. Some teachers might want to put up what they are teaching on the net so their students can study the material right off their computer. Or maybe someone just wants to show off what they know.

There is another kind of informational page that I haven't talked about yet.
Businesses also put up informational pages to tell people about their product. Some clubs tell you about their group, and then how you can join.

SCHOOL PROJECTS

Now that computers are so widely used, it can be easy for kids to make web pages for their school projects, like I am doing right now. Most school projects are informational, also like this one.

JUST FOR FUN

This is my favorite kind of page, the kind you do just because it's fun. It doesn't matter what it is about at all. They can be goofy and silly. It doesn't matter if it is on something stupid, like the relationship between math and cheese.

I would like to conclude with saying that in the future, everyone's lives will probably be run totally by computers, and everyone will have their own pages that can do countless things. They will also be much, much faster than they are today.

This wraps up my page, I hope everyone enjoyed it (and I hope I get a good grade on it)
