Prof. David D. Nolte — recipient of McCoy Award

Professor David D. Nolte is the recipient of this year's McCoy Award*. Professor Nolte is being recognized for his pioneering contributions in the field of photorefractive effects in semiconductors and their heterostructures that have led to the development of the most sensitive dynamic holographic recording materials documented to date.

*The McCoy Award was established in 1964 through a bequest from Ethel Terry McCoy in memory of her husband, who was a School of Science alumnus. The award is presented annually to the student or faculty member in the university's science departments who make the greatest contribution of the year to science.
