GHS Label Information
A Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Label is a worldwide system of labeling for
ALL hazardous materials.
Manufacturers will classify materials into defined hazard classes with pre-determined precautionary statements.
This should eliminate the variations in labeling by different companies.
Manufacturers have until June of 2015 to complete the change in labeling.
A GHS Label must contain at least the following items:
1. | The product name |
2. | Supplier information including address and phone number |
3. | A hazard signal word |
4. | One or more pictograms |
5. | A Hazard Statement |
6. | Precautionary Statements |
7. | Supplemental Information (as required) |
