Material Safety Data Sheet: A detailed description of each hazardous material listed on the Materials Inventory.
An MSDS is required to have 9 sections, but many have up to 16. The format is much less restrictive that the Globally Harmonized System SDS. Currently OSHA is transitioning from MSDSs to SDSs.
