NFPA Labels have been used for many years and are found in many places.   This type of label may no longer be used as secondary lab labels at Purdue.   GHS Labels are now required on all secondary containers.   These labels are still likely to be seen for years to come, particularly since some companies have the NFPA label in addition to the GHS label.   It is therefore still important to be able to understand the NFPA labeling system.
