Lifting Loads


1.  Make sure the hook is centered above the load to be lifted.
Side pulling will cause the load to swing and can cause injuries and damage to the crane.
2.  Make sure the crane and the rigging are rated for the load to be lifted.
3.  Slowly raise the load a few inches off the floor.
4.  Hold the load in this positon to verify that the crane brakes are working and the the load is balanced.
5.  Never leave a suspended load unattended.
6.  If the load is unbalanced, lower it and readjust the rigging.
7.  Once the load is ready to move, it should be lifted only far enoght to clear obstacles before starting to move it.
