Writing SOPs

The Laboratory Supervisor will define which if any activities, operations, or procedures constitute circumstances under which prior approval must be obtained by employees before implementation.

1.	The default CHP has no restrictions.
2.	Possible circumstances that might require prior approval
		It is likely that exposure limit concentrations could be exceeded or that other harm is likely
		There is failure of any equipment used in the process, especially of safeguards such as chemical fume hoods.
		Extremely hazardous operations being performed by someone alone in a lab.
		Working with large samples of explosives.
