Spill Detection

  In the vast majority of cases, spills are detected by the laboratory employee.   Electronic sensors are usually only useful in special situations.   Some spills are detected by a deficiency.   PRIME Lab uses oxygen sensors to detect major insulating gas leaks as a decrease in the atmospheric oxygen content.
Spills are usually detected by:
Visual observation
      (most common).

Odor.
Sound.
Electronic sensors.
Other means .
