of

Comet Hyakutake C/1996 B2

Summary

The High Energy Astrophysics Group Members Dr. John Finley, Ben MacCall and Rollin C. Thomas observed the comet on the night of March 22 and the early morning of March 23. Several pictures were taken of the comet with the SBIG ST-6 CCD camera with the 16" Meade LX200 telescope at Cumberland Observatory. Throughout the night, several members of the public dropped by to catch a glimpse of the comet. Here are a few of the pictures.
