Tour of the Solar System Lab Weblink

Mon 23Nov2009 10:27AM

The link you need to use for the Tour of the Solar System lab is

http://www.physics.purdue.edu/astr263l/SStour.html

Please note the following about the above link.

1)  It is a lower case L appearing in "astr263l".

2)  The "SS" appearing in "SStour" is case sensitive.  This means using "sstour" will NOT work.

Transferred Lab Scores Now in the CHIP Gradebook

Sun 30Aug2009 1:38PM

If you have previously taken Astr 263 or 264 and requested your previous total to be transferred, you can now log into CHIP to view your score.

Once you have logged into CHIP, your previous score can be found under 'Old Lab Score'.

Please note that only your previous total is transferred and not your previous individual scores.  As the semester progresses, you may notice that you are recieving zeros for this semester's nightly scores.  This is ok because your previous total will automatically be used at the end of the semester.

Lab Group Assignments

Sun 30Aug2009 1:24PM

As discussed last week, each night is divided into three groups and you are assigned to a group/TA alphabetically.  The room that your group uses will change each week, but you will always have the same TA.

Each week on your scheduled lab night, you need to arrive early to PHYS 223 where a sign will be posted on the door stating where each group, listed alphabetically, is meeting and what they will be doing.

The sign will be posted by 4pm of the afternoon of your lab night as well as a message sent out through CHIP in order for you to plan ahead.

2)  Attend Lab the first week of class on the night appearing in your schedule and speak with the Head TA.

Please see the Lab Syllabus for more details.
