Final Grade Results

Sat 19Dec2009 12:27AM

ASTR 26300 Students:

It was my pleasure having you in my class.  You guys did excellent jobs!

I have recently received several emails saying that you enjoyed my class.  I truly appreciate these encouragements.

I will also appreciate both the positive and negative comments that you made through the course evaluation.  (I am not allowed to see the results yet.)  They will be a great asset to me which will enable me to be a better teacher.

Final grade results are available in the "Lectures" folder of the course webpage.

Best wishes,
Prof. Jay

Policy Change: Attendance for Lectures

Wed 21Oct2009 11:05AM

In order to give some incentive to those students who regularly attend the lectures of this course, beginning from Lecture 17 (Monday, Nov. 2), all students who attend the lectures will receive 3 extra credit points each lecture

There will be 10 more lectures, so a student can earn up to 30 bonus points which can move your letter grade one level up (e.g., B– to B) for most of you.  Recall that the maximum possible total score for this course is 750 points.

There will be no make-up for this extra credit for any reason, because students will not be penalized by absences.
