End of course reminder

This is a reminder for those of you who have not turned in their essay/paper, which is due this Friday (12/12) night 11:59pm by email. You need to turn it in even if you have given an in-class presentation. The paper is the last requirement for the course as there is no final exam in the finals week.
Exam 2 and the last homework will be graded and put in Room 144 for you to pick up next week, another email will be sent when they are ready.
Sourav and I want to thank you for your participation in this course and wish you good luck in the finals for your other courses.

For those of you who plan to give a presentation on your selected topic, please have it ready and let me know asap, by Sun 12/07 at the latest. You will give the presentation on Monday class 12/08. The slots are first come first serve.

Exam 2 Mon 24Nov2008 6:26PM
Exam 2 will be held in class on Dec 10, 3:30pm-5pm in Rm 201 (usual class room).
It will cover mainly Chapters 5-8 (obviously you still need to know the earlier material in chap 1-4 in order to solve problems).
A cheat sheet will be provided. It will be posted before the exam.
Exam 1: (3:30pm-4:45pm) on Oct. 29 Thu 16Oct2008 10:41PM
Exam#1 will be held in class (3:30-4:45) on Oct. 29.
Review materials: Chap 1-4 and part of Chap 8 of KK so far covered in class.
An equation sheet containing key equations in the summaries of above chapters will be provided.
