Postdoctoral Position.  The Laboratory for Applied Experimental Geophysics at Purdue University has an opening for a postdoctoral research associate in the area of laboratory investigation of pore scale imaging and relative permeability upscaling.  The primary research will be to perform laboratory measurements of pore geometry, relative permeability, and other parameters necessary for testing current scaling theories for applying laboratory measurements of multiphase flow to the field scale studies.  Interested candidates should show demonstrated excellence in laboratory techniques.  The research associate will be involved with the construction and fabrication of equipment, the use of low pressure equipment at low temperatures, the performance of relative permeability measurements, imaging, and image analysis.  Minimum qualifications:  A Ph.D. in hydrology, rock mechanics, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, drilling engineering, or a comparable discipline.  Please send a letter of interest and your resume by e-mail to Prof. Pyrak-Nolte at   pyrak@physics.purdue.edu.  Purdue University is an equal
opportunity/affirmative action employer.  Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
