Biographical Information

Spent six years in the South Pacific, Japan and Sea of Cortez. I have experienced many diverse cultures and adventures. I have extensive experience with software technical support, computer maintenance, sailing, engine maintenance, navigation (celestial, GPS, and coastal), general boat maintenance, and nautical electronic equipment.

BA degree in Physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Learned to sail in southern California at a young age. My family and I moved aboard a fifty-foot sailboat in 1970. I lived aboard in Santa Barbara until we left for Mexico and the South Pacific. Being the oldest of the four boys, I had responsibilities including repairing the engine, navigation, and overall boat maintenance.
