About me
Well, where to start from... lets say that I live my life in an Alchemical way... as the poet would say, Life is Art waiting to be transmuted into your deepest desires.
I like to look at the starry sky (that is also my job :) ), close the eyes and dream... live in the present, launch myself on every wave, find the eternity in each moment.
I also like reading book (Hermann Hesse is my favorite writer), reading and writing poetries, surfing the web, listening to music (pop), watching tv series (Star Trek)
For the rest, just ask if you wanna know!
Why Astronomy?
Einstein used to say that a human being is a part of a whole, the universe, and that he experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest and restricted to a few persons nearest to him. I would also add that this restriction, or "prison" as Einstein called it, it is not just limited in space and time, but also in the human thought, the way we think, experience feelings: we inherit a mental schema, "the way we think, live, love, feel feelings", from our education, history, from our past.
I think our goal is to break this kind of mental, spatial and temporal, cultural schema and, by not stopping questioning, to give some answers, but also to put forward new questions.
So, whats the matter with Astronomy? Remember Kant "...the starry sky above me and the moral law within me”: Astronomy it is not just math, not just equations... when we look at the deepest mysteries of the Universe we actually look into the the fundamental questions of the human beings which define our existence.

Favorite quotes:
"Man's life seems to me like a long, weary night that would be intolerable if there were not occasionally flashes of light, the sudden brightness of which is so comforting and wonderful, that the moments of their appearance cancel out and justify the years of darkness" - Hermann Hesse
"That may be the most important thing to understand about humans. It is the unknown that defines our existence. We are constantly searching, not just for answers to our questions, but for new questions. We are explorers. We explore our lives day by day, and we explore the galaxy, trying to expand the boundaries of our knowledge. And that is why I am here. Not to conquer you with weapons, or with ideas. But to coexist... and learn. " - Captain Sisko, Star Trek DS9
"Life isn't a destination -- it's a journey. We all come upon unexpected curves and turning points, mountaintops and valleys. Everything that happens to us shapes who we are becoming. And in the adventure of each day, we discover the best in ourselves" - unknown
"Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved" - Soren Kierkegaard
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” - A. Einstein
"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive without our frail and feeble mind."- A. Einstein
"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."- A. Einstein
“Two things awe me most, the starry sky above me and the moral law within me.” - Immanuel Kant
“But only in their dreams can men be truly free It was always thus
and always thus will be.” -Dead Poet's Society movie
“We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write
poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is
filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering - these are
noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty,
romance, love - these are what we stay alive for.” -Dead Poet's Society

Poetry
I love writing and reading poetries, for me this is the way to gather the emotions, the feelings I experienced – that’s the way I express myself, writing poetries means to me creating a sort of photograph album made of memories, feelings, emotions, which I try to seize by trapping them in a bunch of verses, to brush up, sometimes, when I am looking for an answer, "when the road ahead appear to me more rugged", when I look at the past to understand how to move ahead.
