November 24, 1997

Elections were held. Elizabeth Hingley remains the Graduate President, while Amanda Cross becomes the new Undergraduate President. Allison Lambeth is the new Undergraduate Vice President, and Sarah Pender is the Secretary/Treasurer.

In other matters, a food/school supplies drive was started for the Lafayette Women's Shelter. People were assigned to get boxes to place around campus. Also, updating the WiP web pages was considered.

December 1, 1997

The placing of the final boxes were completed, and the next meeting, a luncheon with Professor Andrew S. Hirsch, was discussed. Everyone at the meeting was encouraged to bring along a friend or two.

December 3, 1997

Professor Andrew S. Hirsch was the guest speaker at a luncheon held by WIP and the Society of Physics Students.

December 9, 1997

The officers decided to place an advertisement in the Exponent for the food/school supplies drive. Undergraduate President Amanda Cross's husband Jonathan Cross was assigned to update the web pages.
