It is known that the electron-electron (e-e) interaction plays an important role in two-dimensional electron systems (2DESs). Aside from the e-e interaction, disorder has a similarly important impact on the quantum states in 2DESs and their interplay remains a major line of research. In this seminar, I will present our recent results on examining this interplay in the quantum Hall effect.
