What does it mean to be a physicist? What attributes and skills should you acquire that will help ensure a successful career as a physicist? What is NIST and how do physicists play a role in carrying out the mission of a federal agency? What do I do at work and what did I learn in school that helped me to get where I am today?
In this talk I review the evolution of a journey of lifelong learning from elementary school to graduate school at Purdue to being a university professor to serving as Chief of the Semiconductor Electronics Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
