Title of Project: Cross sections for a variety of nuclei

Abstract of Project

This research project is designed to determine the cross sections for a variety of heavy nuclei and anti-nuclei from proton-antiproton collisions. The data for this analysis was derived from the E735 experimental data set that was obtained at Fermi National Laboratory. The experimental data will be subjected to stringent cuts and corrections that yield the highest purity of selected nuclei without eliminating a great number of these particles. This research has Cosmological significance (the Big Bang Theory) and also sheds light on quark-gluon plasma theory and on anti-particle production mechanisms.
