Here are the notes about the equipment

Observatory

Cumberland Obervatory is in West Lafayette, Indiana on the grounds of Cumberland Elementary School.  This Purdue facility is used by Astronomy classes as well as Astronomy research.  It is run by Wabash Astronomical Society

Telescope

The telescope is a Meade LX200 16 inch.

Camera

The CCD Camera is a SBI CCD model ST-6.  It employs a color wheel along with the CCDOPS software that runs on a 486 33MHz PC in DOS mode.

Software

The imaging software is Macintosh Astronomical Image Analysis or MAIA.  By using MAIA we are able to determine the relative magnitude of Mkn 421 compared to nearby stars.
