The methods and applications of accelerator mass spectrometry are reviewd with particular emphasis on the cosmogenic radionuclides 10Be,26Al,36Cl, and 129I measured on large tandem accelerators. It is assumed that the reader has a basic knowledge in the methods of experimental nuclear physics.
