Experimental methods for rock coring and determining in-situ produced cosmogenic 36Cl in quartz

We present here a method of coring rocks for in-situ cosmogenic nuclide production studies in terrestrial rocks, methods for separation of quartz, and chloride determination in quartz. Emphasis is placed on 36Cl but most of the techniques are applicable to 10Be and 26Al.
