Computational Physics -- Chapter 3
Oscillatory Motion and Chaos· Simple pendulum -- Euler method
Oscillatory motion of a simple pendulum - a simple harmonic oscillator - calculated using the Euler method. This also illustrates the problems with using the Euler method for an oscillatory type of problem.
· Nonlinear pendulum -- Euler-Cromer method
Motion of a damped, nonlinear pendulum, calculated using the Euler-Cromer method. Can be used to study the chaotic behavior of this system.
