The Physics in a Box project I am now involved in is a very exciting opportunity to fulfill my learning and creative hunger. I can display my artistic skills while learning more about physics and, more importantly, expose other people to science and art. Factual science and science fiction have always been interesting to me. With Physics in a Box, I can explore both: what actually happens and the artistic interpretation of my conjectures.

Visual Communication Design
The area I am studying is Visual Communication Design. I love it, and I give my best efforts to it. Each time I see an ad, a poster illustration, or a magazine, I am thinking: "One day I might be in charge of these areas." This is a dream, and it is becoming real, because the ENGAGE student service learning organization at Purdue University invited me to design the illustrations for the hands-on physics activities that are a part of Physics in a Box. Although I am not familiar with physics at all, I think this is a great job to start with. My eyes were opened after I had done the first task. See, how wonderful it is WHEN art is related with science. How rich it is!
Combining drawing with typography I want to achieve the experiments through the addition of humor. |
