Jim Corwin

Jim Corwin is in charge of the Physics Instrument Shop and teaches an introductory training course in machine shop techniques. He joined the Purdue Instrument Shop in 1989 after spending seven years at Bioanalytical Systems where he was the shipping manager. He has extensive AutoCAD, Inventor, and CNC experience. Has written instruction manuals for student training on lathes and milling machines. The number one priority in the shop is student training and safety but when time permits he works on various machining jobs for the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
