I will review recent work on nanoelectronic devices, circuits and architectures, with a special emphasis on hybrid semiconductor/nanodevice integrated circuits. Recent studies have shown that transfer of digital IC industry to such circuits may extend the Moore’s Law for approximately 10 to 15 years. In addition, mixed-signal versions of the hybrid circuits may enable mixed-signal neuromorphic networks (“CrossNets”) capable of challenging cortical circuitry in density and speed, at manageable power dissipation.
