Title:"Richard Feynman's Life and Career"

Abstract
Richard Feynman's life and career are the stuff of legend. He is famous for his triumphant discoveries in physics, his picaresque adventures as a "curious character," and, at the end of his life, for identifying the cause of the Challenger disaster on national television. In this talk, I'll tell some lesser known tales, of his career as a teacher at Caltech, of his valiant but failed effort to solve the problem of superconductivity, and of a number of private moments we shared as friends and colleagues at Caltech.
