Professor Krupp is director of the Griffith Observatory. He is a distinguished authority on the use of astronomy by ancient civilizations. He has written numerous books including Echoes of the Ancient Skies and Skywatchers, Shamans and Kings: Astronomy and the Archaeology of Power. He has also written books for the junior reader concerning astronomy. He has written a monthly column on astronomy for Sky and Telescope for the last five years.
