Si3 Meeting Minutes and Transparencies

Friday, October 15th, 1999

The following material was presented at the October 15th meeting. The detailed status report from Purdue is on the web at: http://www.physics.purdue.edu/cleosi3/oct15.html

and the schedules:

(1 mount/day) at http://www.physics.purdue.edu/cleosi3/sched.html

(2 mounts/day) at http://www.physics.purdue.edu/cleosi3/sched02.html

a) Notes from DHM:

There was a detailed discussion of the schedule. The earliest shutdown date for CESR is January 15th requiring a "certified" detector to be ready at Cornell by December 15th. A feasible schedule was agreed to.

November 1st Ship 2nd Clamshell

November 24th or December 2nd Ship L3/4

This schedule requires one week of Jim Fast at Cornell, possibly November 1st-8th. This has to be optimized with the fabrication schedule at Purdue and the fact that Kirk Arndt does not return until November 15th. The working decision is that the shipping date of L3/4 will not be later than December 2nd and any missing L4 ladders will be installed at Cornell.

b) Action items:

There were a number of questions raised in addition to those contained in the talks.

1) Special cables to test L4.

2) The "Chris board" and AMP conectors.

3) The grouping of hybrids to avoid dead time problems

due to occupancy.

4) L1/2 cable clamps.

5) Test of running conditions for an n side short.
