Announcements ASTR26400 Spring 2008
04/26/2008The Final is 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1 in Lambert Field House. Please arrive by 7:55 a.m. so we can start promptly as there is another exam scheduled just after 10 a.m. There will be
80 questions worth 200 points. About 60% of the questions will cover material since midterm 2 i.e. Chapters 18, 19, 20, 22, 23 but
not chapters 21 and 24. The remaining questions will cover material from earlier in the course: about 20% midterm 1 material and 20% midterm 2 material. The best way to prepare: take the 06 and 07 finals and midterms from 06, 07 and 08.
It has been a privilege and honor to share with
you some of the wonders of the universe this semester.
I hope to see some of you in ASTR263 next fall.
Best of luck on the final - go for the A!
Sincerely, Ian Shipsey

As the university is open lab will run tonight Jan 31 08.
However, many students live off campus and some face 60-120 mile
drives. Safety is far more important than a 1.5 hour astro lab.
Accordingly, all students who live off campus including those who live in the cities of Lafayette, West Lafayette and Tippecanoe County have the option to stay home and take an excused absence. The excused absence sheet is available in Phys 144 and from your TA. It should be filled out and submitted by Feb 7. Be safe! Ian
