Policy Change: Attendance for Lectures
In order to give some incentive to those students who regularly attend the lectures of this course, beginning from Lecture 17 (Monday, Nov. 2), all students who attend the lectures will receive 3 extra credit points each lecture.
There will be 10 more lectures, so a student can earn up to 30 bonus points which can move your letter grade one level up (e.g., B– to B) for most of you. Recall that the maximum possible total score for this course is 750 points.
There will be no make-up for this extra credit for any reason, because students will not be penalized by absences.

Lab Midterm
The Lab Midterm will be held the first 20 minutes of lab during the week of Oct 19 - Oct 22. It will cover all lab material covered until then, NOT including the slide show presentation given the first week of lab.
A review sheet will be posted one week prior to the Midterm in order for you to prepare. In addition, your TA will hold a reivew session the night of the Miderm, before lab, to answer any questions you may have.
Your TA will dicuss the details of the Lab Midterm, review sheet, and review session during lab in the following weeks.
