Final exam

Regarding the Final Exam: 

 

As a reminder to all, the final exam will be held on August 4th (Thursday) from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in CL50 (Class of 1950 Lecture Hall) in room 224. The exam will consists of 15 multiple choice questions, so bring a 2B pencil to write on the scantron. Bring a calculator (any will do as long as it cannot access the Internet) and you are allowed to bring three 8.5"x 11" sheets of paper (front and back, typed or written) with any notes you think you may need. Also the exam will include an equation sheet that you can check in the course webpage.

 

The materials covered are Chapter 28-8 to Chapter 33-8 from the book (From RL circuits to Interference and Diffraction). Or from lecture 18 onwards in the lecture videos in echo360. 


Second Online Midterm

Regarding the second Midterm: It will open at 9:00 PM Saturday July 16 and will close at 9:00 PM Sunday July 17 (Eastern Standard Time). You will be able to access it any time after it opens. Once you access it you must finish it within 2 hours (120 minutes). If you do not finish it by that time limit it will automatically close and you will lose all the answers. Also you should make sure that you start the exam at least 2 hours before the closing time of 9:00 PM Sunday July 17, otherwise you will not get two hours to finish it. The materials covered are Chapters 24 (sections 3- 5)- 28 (first four sections 1-4) from the book. That is from arrays of capacitors to magnetic induction (up to motional EMF). The exam will not cover self inductance nor RL circuits.


First Online Midterm

Regarding the first Midterm: It will open on CHIP at 9:00 PM Wednesday June 29 and will close at 9:00 PM Thursday June 30. You will be able to access it any time after it opens. Once you access it you must finish it within 2 hours (120 minutes). If you do not finish it by that time limit it will automatically close and you will lose all the answers. Also you should make sure that you start the exam at least 2 hours before the closing time of 9:00 PM Thursday June 30, otherwise you will not get two hours to finish it. The materials covered are Chapters 21- 24 (first two sections 1,2) from the book.
