User Space Policy Print

If users got a local shell account at Purdue CMS Tier-2, you usually have several user spaces to use.

Home directory Each user has a default 1 GB quota, you should request This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it to upgrade up to 10 GB quota. The directories are backed up, and files can be recovered when needed.
$RCAC_SCRATCHPersonal BlueArc space, each user has a default 250 GB quota in BlueARC scratch. The quota can be increased to 500 GB upon request. Files created more than 60 days previously are subject to being automatically purged. Files at this directory is not backed up. And no disaster recovery other than the redundant disk systems will be provided.
/grp/cms/usersFile sharing space on higgs.rcac.purdue.edu, has 100 GB total. Files at /grp/cms/users are backed up frequently. Note that this storage space should be used for sharing files and codes, but should *not* be used for large data files that will be accessed from jobs running at a worker node.
/scratch/osg/cmssw
Scratch area in BlueARC has 296 GB quota total. It is for fast data access and transfer. The scratch area is not backed up and files older than 60 days will be automatically purged.
/store/user
dCache user space has 457 TB total. Each user directory under it is writable only by owner and readable by all.
