CMS FileMover Service

A new service, called FileMover is available at https://cmsweb.cern.ch/filemover/ . It is intended to simplify access to your favorite data (LFNs) via plain download of them via simple web interface. 

How to use this service 

In the prompt: Request File via LFN

Input a LFN: 
/store/mc/Summer08/QCD_EMenriched_Pt30to80
/GEN-SIM-RECO/IDEAL_V6_RECO_v1/0021
/D894DBD7-8075-DD11-90AC-001EC94B9E28.root

and click "Request" button. A data moving information will be shown at the bottom. 

Upon moving completed, a "Download" button will appear. If you don't see any information, you can click "Reload" button on your browser. 

Then you can click "Download" button to get the file to your local machine.
