Configuring PINE for IMAP access

Before You Start...

It is important to have a general understanding of how to start the PINE email program before starting. At the UNIX command prompt type “pine” without the quotation marks. Using PINE

PINE is a very nice mail program that “naive users could use without fear of making mistakes”, according to the developers at the University of Washington in Seattle. Originally developed in 1989, Pine has gone through many iterations and improvements over the years. The latest release includes many nice features that make Pine one of the most popular mailer programs in the Unix environment.

Sub menus don't open in pull down menus using office 2001

If the sub menus will not open in MACoffice 2001, you are probably currently using PICTify version 1.5. You need to remove PICTify version 1.5 in order for them to work again.

I can't print from Photoshop on a scanner Macintosh!

This is a known incompatibility between Adobe Photoshop and Hewlett-Packard printers. Essentially, images cannot be directly printed from Photoshop. To work around the problem:

* Scan or create your image in Photoshop.
* Save the image as a jpeg, gif, or other image format.
* Open the image with Picture Viewer. (Found under the Applications folder, or in Apple Menu -> Applications)
* Print the image with Picture Viewer.
