Accessing Purdue Home Directory In Linux

ITaP provides career account home directories. These allow for basic storage and web spaces and are separate from the Physics home directory resources.

To access your Purdue Home directory in Debian Linux (Gnome), go to Places –> Connect to Server…

Be sure to select Windows Share as the service type.

In place of USERNAME enter your Purdue Career Account username.

When asked for a password, enter your Purdue Career Account password.

This will open your Purdue home directory as well as create a permanent bookmark to your home directory in your folder windows.

Please note: your computer must be on a Purdue directory or on the Purdue VPN system to access your home directory in the manor.
