My fonts aren't working in Mathematica. How can I fix this?

Copy the files under /usr/local/mathematica/SystemFiles/Fonts to somewhere, like the home directory on your X client you're logging into amdahl from. Adding these fonts will only work if you are logged in from a UNIX workstation.

Do the following from your X client:

 mkdir $HOME/Fonts
 
 scp -r amdahl:/usr/local/mathematica/SystemFiles/Fonts/* $HOME/Fonts/
 
 xset fp+ $HOME/Fonts/Type1
 xset fp+ $HOME/Fonts/BDF

You can add the two xset commands to your .cshrc or .profile so you won't have to do them every time you run mathematica.
