Additional Wireless Services

EduRoam

Purdue University is now a member of EduRoam infrastructure. EduRoam allows a visiting scholar to use his or her's credentials from another EduRoam participating University to connect to the Internet. All they have to do is open their laptop, select eduroam in the wireless connection list, and input their primary university credentials. Purdue Career Account users can also use EduRoam wi-fi hotspots on other campuses, such as Indiana University. More information here

AT & T Wi-Fi Hotspot

If you are an AT & T customer, and have Wi-Fi hotspot included in your plan, you may select attwifi from the wireless connection list around campus, and connect to it. Open a browser. You will then be prompted to either verify your existing account information, or to purchase a $5 (24hrs duration from the time of purchase) a day plan (if non-member, or do not have ATT wifi hotspot service) to use this service. This may be a viable option for those who are not presently affiliated with any academic institution, and would like to get online. Friends, family, friends of friends, in-laws, you name it. Anyone is welcome to make use of this service. More information here

Temporary PAL accounts

At the request of a Physics faculty member, faculty guests and visiting scholars may come to room 394 if they wish to obtain temporary Purdue Air-Link account. More information here
