A few additional steps are needed to install Acrobat X on Windows machines.
1. Open the Start menu. In the search box, type “Command Prompt” (not cmd.)
2. Right click the icon, and Run As Admin.
3. In the command prompt, type the following:
fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
4. Hit enter, should get the message that the operation completed successfully.
5. Restart the computer.
6. Install Acrobat X.
